Yummy Taco Soup

soup is one of my very favorite things to have for dinner. i mean, who doesn't love a hot bowl of soup on a cold rainy day?!! i found this recipe a few weeks back & we love it! its really easy to make & its a pretty cheap meal. this is already one of our favorite dinners, so i'm sure we'll be making it a lot this fall & winter. hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!!

(i forgot to take pictures as i was making it, sorry. but its an easy recipe!)

Ingredients:
1 1b ground beef
1/2 small onion, chopped
1 can corn, not drained
2 cups water
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 can stewed tomatoes, not drained ( i buy the mexican flavor & i chop them up just a bit)
1 can kidney beans, not drained
1 package taco seasoning
red chili flakes (to taste, i just sprinkle some in to give it a kick)
salt & pepper
cumin (just a dash or two for taste)
garlic salt

In a large pot/saucepan brown ground beef with onion. drain excess fat. add in water, tomatoes, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce & taco seasoning. stir well. add in spices. cover & simmer for 15 minutes.

i put a dallop of sour cream and a handful of shredded cheddar cheese in each bowl, it makes it extra yummy!!
i serve this with cornbread, but you could serve it will tortilla chips.
enjoy, its delish!!
